I could entertain myself with free wifi while hiding in this remote location, cycling in the middle of nowhere and enjoying the absence of civilization. Manchester may be 40 km away, but I couldn't be bothered to find out.
As if the lack of civilization wasn't enough, the nearest airport is way too far for someone who despises long distances. How inconvenient!

Amazing apartment in Holmfirth, right next to Compo's house Museum. Great staff and host. Excellent bedroom, with a lovely bed. Location to the shops or local restaurants. And so close to centre of Holmfirth, a cocktail bar and the center of the village...
Bad free Wi-Fi.

Bed was comfy and there were a dishwasher, a fridge, and an electric kettle in the room. It had an unbeatable setting really close to the shops or local restaurants, the wine bar next door and the park.

The Lookout in Holmfirth was such a cozy and inviting place to stay. The room I had was absolutely charming with its rustic decor and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It made me feel like I was staying in a cozy cottage in the middle of nowhere, which is exactly what I needed as a solo traveler craving some peace and tranquility.
I have to admit, the one thing I wasn't too keen on at The Lookout was the lack of a bathtub. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

The flat was absolutely mind-blowing - so modern and comfortable! The central location was super convenient. Free Wi-Fi, double-glazed windows for noise reduction, and a well-equipped kitchen. Close to off-site car park, perfect for exploring the jaw-dropping surrounding areas. Highly recommend for cyclists. Cots available, and pets allowed. No smoking on site. Can't wait to book again next year!

Stayed at a top little apartment in a great location. The property was very well presented and we enjoyed watching people go about their business from the comfort of the sofa. Despite a few minor inconveniences, like the breakfast bar being too high and the freezer needing defrosting, we found the apartment to be lovely and spacious. The clothes hangers could have been better and a lower table and chairs would have been preferred. However, these were small details that didn't greatly affect our stay.

Stayed at The Lookout for a week and it was fantastic. Perfectly situated next to a lively cocktail bar, with lovely window seats for people-watching. The hotel was warm, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen, lounge, bedrooms, and bathroom were all top-notch. The welcome basket was a nice touch. The hotel's location was also very convenient, with shops, pubs, and restaurants nearby. The hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating. Can't wait to book again next year!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
